Start of Horizontal Stabilizer Assembly

Before we started assembling the horizontal stabilizer we countersunk a few last holes on the leading edge of the front spar.  Once that was done (and we finished priming), we started assembling the rear spar.  We're looking forward to the arrival of the pneumatic rivet squeezer since squeezing the rivets by hand is very tiring.  They seem to get harder and harder as we move along...
There won't be an update for a few weeks.  Work will resume on March 18th and we'll "make up" the lost days over the Easter long weekend.  For those who have asked, we'll be trying to add more pictures to the site.
I apologize for the  shortage of pictures. My camera stopped working about a month ago, and then I just managed to get really busy with other stuff.....

About half of the parts we had primed this batch.

The other half....

The HS rear spar, the next part we will be working on.

Scott clecoing the spar doubler to the spar.

The rear spar is cleco'd together and ready to rivet.

Now to cleco together the forward spar.

The forward spar is all cleco'd together and ready to rivet together.

By the look of the drawings all we need are some AN426AD4-6 rivets, and we can get going.

 Hmmmm......

I guess we will order a few more AN426AD4-6 rivets and work on something else for a bit.
